Backpack Referral Program: How It Works
Share your Backpack referral code and earn 10% of the trading fees your friends generate. Here's where to find your code, how payouts work, how to get a custom code, and what it takes to join the affiliate program.

How the Backpack referral program works
Share your code
Every Backpack account gets a referral code. Send it to friends or your community.
They sign up and verify
Your friend enters your code in the “Add referral” field at sign-up and completes identity verification (KYC). Only verified users count.
You earn 10% of their fees
You receive 10% of the trading fees they generate, as rebates populated weekly in your account.
Claim your rebates
Each rebate can be claimed for up to 24 months after it becomes eligible. If a claim hasn't processed within a day, Backpack asks you to contact support@backpack.exchange.

On the web
Log in and go to backpack.exchange/referrals. Your code and referral stats are on that page.
In the mobile app
On the Home screen, tap the gift icon in the top-right corner, then open the Referrals tab.
Can you get a custom referral code?
Yes — but only once you've reached $1,000,000 in lifetime trading volume. Until then, Backpack gives you a default code. A short, memorable custom code (like ours, pepebrothers) is much easier for people to type correctly, which matters because a mistyped code can't be fixed after the referral completes KYC.
How much can you earn?
Your commission is 10% of the fees your referrals pay — not 10% of their trading volume. Here's what that looks like for a single referral trading at a 0.10% taker rate:

Honest take: referring a couple of casual friends won't add up to much. The program pays off when you bring in active traders — which is exactly what Backpack's affiliate tier is built for.
The Backpack affiliate program
Above the standard program, Backpack runs an affiliate program for creators and communities that bring significant, consistent trading activity. Approved affiliates earn an increased cash rebate on top of the standard 10%, and can use flexible commission sharing to pass part of it back to their referrals as a fee discount.
Requirements (minimums, subject to due diligence)

Meeting the thresholds doesn't guarantee acceptance. Equity Perps fees aren't eligible for affiliate rebates either.
How to apply
- Log in to your Backpack account and click More.
- Click Affiliate Program.
- Enter your social media account name.
- Choose a contact platform and add your contact details.
- Click Submit. Backpack notifies you if you're approved; questions go to vip@backpack.exchange.
